Artistry in Aqua

Artistry in Aqua is a study in pale aqua threads, both silks and metallics, to create a beautiful piece of embroidery. The design makes up into a 6” and is mostly floral in nature, although a sparkling seahorse is the focal point of the design.

The seahorse is executed almost entirely in beads, including Swarovski bi-cone beads. He is outlined in the finest of silk threads, and some of the details are rendered in ice blue metal bullions. Surrounding the seahorse are various stylized flowers, each worked in silk and/or metallic threads, in pale aqua. Stitches utilized are. Stitches include Jessica, small triple cross, Alicia lace, French Knots, whipped back stitch, and needlelace.

Threads include: Pearsall Silk, Waterlilies, Gloriana Silk Ribbon, Belle Soie, , and Dinky Dye Silk, plus Kreinik metallic, Accentuate. The design is stitched on white congress cloth.
